Negative Declaration

Delaware County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Delaware Wildlife Management Area #90 Clearcut, Stands A-5; E-1, 4, 9, O-2; P-5; U-1, 3 and 5 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the Bearspring Wildlife Management Area that has very little early successional wildlife habitat. In order to increase the diversity of habitats on this area, eight clearcuts ranging in size from 3 to 25 acres, totaling 93 acres will be created. The project is located approximately five miles southeast of the Village of Walton in the Towns of Walton and Colchester, New York.
