Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Post Morrow Foundation Aquatic Herbicide Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal to apply the herbicide Aquamaster to stands of phragmites which will be subsequently mowed. Ten (10) acres is proposed to be treated with the treatment to be repeated for 3 years. The project is located at the Post Morrow Foundation on Bay Avenue in the Hamlet of Brookhaven, Town of Brookhaven, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Suffolk County - The Town of Southampton, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Serenity, LLC. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on February 9, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Southampton Town Hall, 116 Hampton Road, Southampton, NY 11968. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until February 20, 2010. The Draft EIS is available in the Southampton Town Clerk's Office, 116 Hampton Road, Southampton, NY 11968, Phone: (631) 287-5740 and on line at: http://www.town.southampton.ny.us/SEQRAdetail.ihtml?id=39.

The action involves a Change of Zone Petition from Residential (Country Residence-40,000 square feet) to Residential Planned Development District (RPDD) for a 60 unit senior citizen condominium complex. The project is located on the west side of North Phillips Avenue in Speonk, Town of Southampton, New York.
