Public Notice

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has determined that site ID # 932004, known as the Basic Carbon site, may be deleted from the New York State Registry of Inactive Hazardous Waste Disposal Sites. This site is located in the City of Niagara Falls, within the County of Niagara, and is located at 820 Connecting Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Comments regarding this action must be submitted no later than February 5, 2010. Positive Declaration (Correction)

Wyoming County - The Town of Orangeville, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Stony Creek Wind Farm Project may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves a proposal by the applicant, Stony Creek Energy, LLC, to construct a wind-powered generating facility consisting of up to 59 General Electric 1.5xle or equivalent, wind turbine generators (WTGs) each with a maximum height of nearly 400 feet. The project will also include an operation and maintenance (O & M) facility, a system of gravel access roads, a 34.5 KV electrical collection system of buried electrical cable from the 59 WTGs to a substation and one 262 foot permanent meteorological tower. The project is located in the Town of Orangeville, New York.
