Negative Declaration

Greene County - The Village of Tannersville Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Mountain Top Library and Site Redevelopment Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of erosion control; removal of the existing asphalt driveway and gravel parking lot: all finish excavation for the creation of new driveways, parking lot, and sidewalk around the existing building; and excavation of the entire perimeter of the existing building to facilitate the installation of a new building drainage system.

Further work involves the construction of new asphalt driveways and parking lot; granite curbing; new concrete and brick accent walks and handicapped accessible ramp with railings, and, the construction of various drainage and stormwater conveyance systems. Additional stormwater treatment will occur through the construction of two new Rain Gardens along the front of the property. Also, a new copper gutter and downspout system will be installed on the east and west sides of the building; and there will be additional landscape planting.

The project is located at 6093 Main Street, Route 23A in the Village of Tannersville, New York.
