Negative Declaration
Dutchess County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Kennels Road Bank Mine Expansion will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the expansion of an existing 23 + acre unconsolidated material mine by 1.3 additional acres. This expansion is solely for the purpose of providing area and materials to allow for correction of the adjacent slope to 2:1 and will not provide material for sale. The area adjacent to the expansion was previously over-excavated and this action is in response to an Order on Consent to achieve a stable slope. The expansion area is outside of the onsite New York State wetland. The project is located on the south side of Kennels Road, west of US Route 44 and east of Andrew Haight Road in the Village of Millbrook, Town of Washington, New York.
