Negative Declaration

Chemung County - County of Chemung, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Elmira Corning Regional Airport Runway 24 Extension and Avigation Easement Acquisition will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the extension of the 7,999 foot Runway 24 and associated Taxiway A by 401 feet, including relocating any assoicated navigational aids and lighting. Also included will be the acquisition of avigation easements on land situated in both of the Runway Protection Zones associated with Runway 10-28. The project is located at the Elmira Corning Regional Airport (ECRA), 276 Sing Sing Road in Horseheads, New York.
