Project Description:

Construction of a 64 lot subdivision and the construction of a 6 inch sanitary sewer force main and sanitary sewer pump station. That construction will result in a temporary impact of 0.24 acres and a permanent impact of 0.10 acres to Freshwater Wetland CC-39's regulated 100-foot-wide adjacent area. Mitigation for the temporary and permanent impact to the regulated adjacent area will result in the planting of 50 trees and 100 one gallon stock shrubs of native species indigenous to the project area. A 5 year monitoring period will be required in conjunction with the described wetland mitigation for the proposed wetland impacts.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to periodically excavate approximately 55 cubic yards of littoral drift sand and gravel from the mouth of a stream (unnamed tributary 155 of Lake Ontario) at his property to maintain a channel width of up to 50 feet to eliminate water stagnation, improve discharge flow, prevent beach flooding and property erosion. The applicant also proposes to install approximately 231 linear feet of stone riprap along the banks of the stream to protect large trees from being undermined. The site is located at 1567 Lake Road in the Town of Porter.
