The applicant proposes to construct a 3-bedroom house on an existing garage foundation, driveway, parking area and lawn area all located within the 100' adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland CL-19. A septic system and water well are also proposed to be located outside of the wetland adjacent area, greater than 100' from the wetland boundary. The property is located on US Route 9, approximately 1/2 mile south of Cedar Hill Road in the Town of Clermont.

Project Description:

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is pursuing a Department Initiated Modification (DIM) to the State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Permit (NY0222861), pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 750-1.18, New York State's Environmental Benefit Permit Strategy (EBPS).

Cedar Acres Trailer Park, located in the Town of Schodak, Rensselaer County, has a design flow of 0.015 mgd. Treatment of wastewater consists of extended aeration. The facility has treated surface discharge to an unnamed tributary to Valatie Kill, a class C water.

The following changes to the permit are proposed: Total Phosphorous range has been changed.

- Ammonia limit has been changed.
- A schedule of compliance for fecal coliform and total residual chlorine has been added.
- Discharge Notification Act requirement has been added.
