Comment Period Extension

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) is extending the public comment period for proposed revisions to 6 NYCRR Part 249, Best Available Retrofit Technology. The comment period will close at 5:00 p.m., December 24, 2009. A Notice of Proposed Rule Making and a Hearing Notice were previously published in the October 28, 2009 issues of the State Register and the Environmental Notice Bulletin (ENB).

Notice of Public Comment Extended for Proposed Commissioner Policy regarding Soil Cleanup Guidance

Notice is hereby given that the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has prepared a proposed Commissioner Policy for the selection of soil cleanup levels appropriate for each of the remedial programs in NYS DEC's Division of Environmental Remediation and the Corrective Action Program in NYS DEC's Division of Solid and Hazardous Materials. This initial notification was published in the Environmental Notice Bulletin (ENB) on November 4, 2009 with a 30 day public comment period. This public comment period has been extended, and written comments regarding this draft policy will be accepted until Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Notice of Public Comment Extended for Proposed Program Policy regarding Real Property Eligibility Opinions for the Brownfield Cleanup Program [DER-30]

Notice is hereby given that the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has prepared a proposed Program Policy that outlines the procedures and circumstances under which NYS DEC will issue an opinion on eligibility for participation in the Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) relative to real property within a Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) study area or designated BOA pursuant to General Municipal Law Section 970-R. This initial notification was published in the Environmental Notice Bulletin (ENB) on November 4, 2009 with a 30 day public comment period.
