Amended Negative Declaration
Ontario County - The City of Canandaigua City Council, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Steamboat Landing Planned Unit Development Amended Preliminary Site Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a revised amended preliminary site plan for a project which will permit the two-stage development of a 163,220 square foot hotel and conference center with a total of 497 parking spaces required for both stages (Stage 1 would be for 179 spaces) on approximately 5.98 acres, part of which is currently occupied by a 12,000 square foot restaurant and conference center with 256 parking spaces on 4.0 acres. The revised action will also entail the replacement of an existing 12 slip seasonal dock with a permanent 30 slip dock in Canandaigua Lake; the maintenance of green space along Lakeshore Drive and a 50 foot green buffer zone between the project site and the Rosepark Townhome Community; the removal of a proposed 3 story parking deck; and the addition of on-site parking which substantially eliminates the need for off-site parking and associated traffic. The project is located at 205 Lakeshore Drive in the City of Canandaigua, New York.
