Project Description:

Project involves construction of a shore well, 25 linear feet from and 2' above the mean high water (MHW). Applicant will also dredge a 24' x 24' x 3' deep area on the eastern side of the property for watercraft access. The estimated 64 cubic yards removed from the dredge project will be used as backfill for a proposed modular concrete block wall consisting of one (1) 20" high course. The wall, beginning at the SE corner of the property will run along the shoreline for 200', ending 120' before the SW corner of the property. The wall will sit at and above the MHW mark of Lake Ontario. Filter fabric will be installed behind the wall prior to backfill and will sit on leveled beach stone. All areas of disturbance will be graded and seeded.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.

SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

A Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form has been completed. The proposed activity will not impact on registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.

Coastal Management:

This project is located in a Coastal Management area and is subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Dec 03, 2009.
