Positive Declaration and Public Scoping
Saratoga County - The Ballston Spa Central School District, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Cramer Road Land Acquisition and Development Alternative Analysis may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. Written comments on the draft scope will be accepted until November 9, 2009. A public scoping session will be held on November 4, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. at the Board of Education Room, 70 Malta Avenue, Ballston Spa, NY 12020. The action involves the acquisition of 80 acres. A Positive Declaration dated October 21, 2009 has been adopted by the Board. The project involves the evaluation of various alternative options for the development of this property for educational purposes including the construction of new buildings and facilities, athletic fields, and/or similar site improvements. The Board intends to complete a Generic Environmental Impact Statement to fully evaluate any potential impacts. The project is located at the intersection of Route 9 and Cramer Road in the Town of Malta, New York.
