Project Description:
The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application to re-issue the State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) permit which authorizes the continued surface discharge of 300,000 gallons per day (gpd) of treated sanitary wastewater from the applicant's municipal wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) into the Shawangunk Kill (Class B). The WWTP is located on Hardenburgh Road approximately 2000 feet north of Red Mill Road in the Town of Crawford.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:
Project is not subject to SEQR because it is a Type II action.
SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The permit type is exempt or the activity is being reviewed in accordance with federal historic preservation regulations.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:
As part of the development of Phases II and III (49 lots) of the Pierson Lakes Subdivision, the applicant proposes to bridge narrow stream corridors of state wetlands SL-8 (class2) and SL-5 (class 2) for an internal connector road. The two streams to be crossed are unnamed tributaries (class A) of Cranberry Pond. This road will also cross through another narrow arm of wetland SL-8 at the location of an existing road. Approximately 1.6 acres of wetland adjacent area will be impacted. A stormwater pollution prevention plan has been submitted for DEC staff review.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
A cultural resources survey has been completed. Based on information provided in the survey report, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) has determined that the proposed activity will have no impact on registered or eligible archaeological sites or historic structures. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
