Project Description:
The applicant proposes to operate a Solid Waste Management facility for the storage and transfer of used oil, used anti-freezein tanks and other non-hazardous wastes in containers. The facility will be authorized to operate three 6,000 gallon above ground tanks for the storage of used oil, one 6,000 gallon above ground tank for the storage of used antifreeze, and up to a maximum of 24,650 gallons of solid wastes for storage in various size containers. Container maximum storage onsite includes hazardous wastes stored under the 10-day storage exemption allowed in 6NYCRR Part 373, Section 373-1.1(d)(xv). The facility will also consolidate used oil filters into 330 gallon oil filter bins inside the building. The facility is located at 80 Seabro Avenue, North Amityville, 11701, Town of Babylon.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:
Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.
SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment:
Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Nov 05, 2009.
