Project Description: The action involves a new sand and gravel extraction on land adjoining a previously-authorized sand and gravel extraction. The new mine will share a portion of the haul road, all equipment and be operated by the same company as the previously-permitted mine. The new mine will involve a total disturbed area of 6.5 acres, with an active mine site of 4 acres for an average annual production of 100,000 cubic yards each of stone and stone/gravel mix, to include screening and crushing. Operation will be Monday through Saturday.

Location: New York State Route 22 in the Town of Dresden, New York.

Project Description: The action involves a three lot subdivision of 143.96 acres involving wetlands and within a State Highway critical environmental area, and the construction of two new single family dwellings. Lot 1 is 124.19 acres in size, Lot 2 is 11.47 acres, and Lot 3 is 8.30 acres. Lot 3 is developed by a pre-existing single family dwelling. No new land use or development is proposed for this lot which will be conveyed. On each of Lots 1 and 2, one new single family dwelling will be constructed, each to be served by an individual on-site wastewater treatment system and well water supply. Each lot will have separate driveway access from NYS Route 22. No wetlands will be filled or impacted by the project.
Negative Declaration
Saratoga County - The Halfmoon Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Halfmoon Water Infrastructure Improvement Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the painting of the interior of the Brookwood Road water storage tank as well as the replacement of the cathodic protection system, and the extension of the inlet pipe riser. The project also entails the replacement of a 2,200 foot section of existing water main and the installation of 4,500 foot of new water main along Button Road and the installation of a pressure relief valve along the existing water main on Upper Newtown Road. The project is located on Button Road, Upper Newtown Road and Brookwood Road in the Town of Halfmoon, New York.
