Negative Declaration

Albany County - The Town of Colonie Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Siena College Residence and Dining Hall will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a 95,101 square foot, four story, 260 student bed residence and dining hall with an additional 205 car parking spaces. The project is located at 505 Loudon Road in the Town of Colonie, New York on the Siena College Campus.

Rensselaer County - The Town Board of the Town of Poestenkill, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Water District No.1 of the Town of Poestenkill will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the installation of approximately 10 miles of 8 inch water main, 6.5 miles of 12 inch water main, a water storage tank located at the end of Hinckle Road in the Town of Poestenkill and a pressure boosting station near the McKinley Way and Spring Avenue intersection, all to serve a new Water District for the Town. The proposed Water District No.1 extends from the neighboring Towns of Brunswick and North Greenbush to the central Hamlet area of the Town of Poestenkill and portions of NYS Highway 351. The proposed Water District will connect with the existing public water supply located in the Town of Brunswick and the water source will be from the City of Troy. Accordingly, the Town of Poestenkill has entered into separate water supply and water transportation agreements with the City of Troy and the Town of Brunswick, respectively. Currently no municipal water systems exist within the Town of Poestenkill and each of the properties to be served with the proposed Water District is presently supplied with water from an individual well or wells. The proposed District will include fire hydrants, booster pump stations and possibly chlorination facilities and will provide a source of water for fire protection for everyone in the District. The project is located along various roads in the Town of Poestenkill, New York, including portions of Snyders Lake Road, Weatherwax Road, NYS Highway 355, Spring Avenue Extension, the entire hamlet of Poestenkill, New York and NYS Highway 351.
