Project Description: Conversion of six pre-existing structures from tourist accommodations (rental cabins) to single family dwellings and the demolition and replacement of three of those six pre-existing structures. One of the three structures to be replaced is within the 50-foot shoreline setback of Fourth Lake.
Notice of Acceptance of Draft Supplemental EIS and Public Hearing
St. Lawrence County - The Adirondack Aprk Agency (APA), as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Amendment to the Official Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map (Map Amendment 2009-09). A public hearing on the Draft SEIS will be held on October 15, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town of Fine Municipal Building in Star Lake, New York. The public hearing will be preceded by an informal information session that will begin 6:30 p.m. Written comments on the Draft SEIS will be accepted until October 26, 2009. The Draft SEIS is available for public review at the Adirondack Park Agency Headquarters, 1133 NYS Route 86, Ray Brook, NY. The Draft SEIS is also posted on the Adirondack Park Agency website: www.apa.state.ny.us.
The action involves a proposed map amendment initiated by the Adirondack Park Agency and involves a 60 ± acre area in the Town of Fine. The project is located west of Oswegatchie Trail Road and Lake Road, near the intersection of the two roads in the Town of Fine, New York.
