Orange County - The Town of Newburgh, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Hotel and Commercial Building will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the applicant's request to amend their site plan approval to include a phasing plan. This will allow the commercial building to be fully constructed and operational before the hotel building is constructed. The project is located on Corporate Boulevard at Route 17K in the Town of Newburgh, New York.

Orange County - The Town of Warwick Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Fusco Subdivision will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposed 13 lot cluster subdivision of a 74.652 ± acre site in the Town's Rural Zoning District. A total of 61% of the site will be preserved as open space. One of the proposed lots contains an existing farm served by an existing well and septic disposal system. One lot is proposed for an affordable housing dwelling unit in conformance with §164-46.J(100) of the Town Zoning Law. The 12 new building lots are proposed to be served by 12 new wells and septic disposal systems. Approximately 1,100 feet of new road is proposed to be dedicated to the Town of Warwick, to provide access to 10 lots from Taylor Road. A common driveway is proposed to provide access to two of the proposed lots. The existing dwelling will continue to be served by its existing access on Taylor Road. The project is located at Taylor and Jessup Road in the Town of Warwick, New York.

Orange County - The Town Board of the Town of Crawford, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade and Expansion will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of the upgrade and expansion of the wastewater treatment plant to Sewer District No. 1 from 180,000 gallons per day (gpd) to 300,000 gpd. The project is located at 57 Hardenburgh Road in the Town of Crawford, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS
Orange County - The Town Board of the Town of Wallkill, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Comprehensive Plan Implementation - Phase III. A public hearing on the Final EIS will be held on October 8, 2009 at 7:25 p.m. at the Walkill Town Hall, 99 Tower Drive, Middletown, NY 10941. Written comments on the Final EIS will be accepted until October 18, 2009. A hard copy of the FEIS is available at the following locations: Wallkill Town Hall, Ramapo Catskill Library, 619 North Street, Middletown, New York and the Thrall Library, 11-19 Depot Street, Middletown, New York. The online version of the FEIS is available at the following publically accessible website: http://www.behanplanning.com/bpafiles/Wallkill/Wallkill.html. The action involves the Town of Wallkill zoning code and district map which are proposed to be updated and amended with town-wide changes to reflect the goals of their most recent Comprehensive Plan. The code changes include revised Conservation Subdivision regulations, a new Planned Residential Development Overlay district, and miscellaneous text edits. The zoning map changes include revisions of many district boundaries to eliminate conditions where parcels are divided by two or more different zoning districts. The project is located throughout the Town of Wallkill, New York.
