Project Description: The project is a subdivision involving the lease of a 100 foot x 100 foot parcel to SBA Towers, Inc. for the construction of a new 90 foot tall (above ground level - AGL) telecommunications tower within a 25 foot x 38 foot fenced-in equipment compound located 850 foot ± from the southbound lane of the Adirondack Northway. Both the tower and compound are designed to accommodate two cellular communications carriers. The tower will be a simulated tree tower with branching extending 93 foot ± AGL. The lease agreement, among other things, protects the existing trees within 200 feet of the proposed tower.
Within the fenced equipment compound T-Mobile, Northeast, LLC is proposing to construct an 8 foot by 14 foot shelter and attach three 4.9 foot panel antennas on the SBA Towers, Inc. tower at a centerline height of 88 foot AGL. An emergency backup generator will also be installed within the compound.
Access to the facility will be through a 25 foot utility and access easement (located over an existing woods road). The woods road will be upgraded to an 8 foot wide access road. Underground utilities will be installed adjacent to the road.
