ENB - Region 6 Notices 8/5/2009
Negative Declaration
Jefferson County - The Town of Lyme, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Point Salubrious Water Distribution System will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the proposal for a water distribution line. This water distribution line would connect to the nearby Development Authority of the North Country water line and head across NYS Route 12E, making a fork at Point Salubrious Road. The water distribution line would make a complete loop around Point Salubrious, generally following the pattern of Point Salubrious Road, and come to a junction at the aforementioned fork. This project will involve approximately 7 miles of water distribution main and will serve approximately 240 residences. An elevated water storage tank would be included in this project in order to service the residents within this project area.
Construction will consist of approximately 37,200 lineal feet of ductile iron water mains, gate valves, tapping and sleeve valves, curb and corporation stop assemblies, 1" and 2" HDPE service laterals, fire hydrant assemblies and water meters. The project is located on Point Salubrious Road making a complete loop around Point Salubrious in the Town of Lyme, New York
