Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Schenectady County - The Town of Rotterdam, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Golub Corporation Partial Dunnsville Road Relocation and Conceptual Distribution Center Expansion. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on August 11, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at the Rotterdam Town Hall on Sunrise Boulevard, Rotterdam, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until August 24, 2009. Copies of the DEIS are available from the contact person listed below and at the Rotterdam Branch of the Schenectady County Library, 1100 North Wescott Road, Rotterdam, New York and also on-line at: www.rotterdamny.org. The action involves the relocation of approximately 900 feet of Dunnsville Road, a subdivision of real property, and rezoning property owned by Golub from Retail Business and Agricultural to Light Industrial, as well as an amendment to the Town Comprehensive Plan. The applicant proposes to increase the warehousing capability of the site by approximately 410,000 square feet of gross floor area to allow Price Chopper to consolidate and expand warehousing operations. The project is located at 501 Duanesburg Road and the expansion encompasses property on the west side of the existing Dunnsville Road, east of the National Grid right-of-way, and south of Duanesburg Road, Town of Rotterdam, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final Generic EIS

Rensselaer County - The City of Rensselaer Planning Commission, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Marx Properties Riverfront Development / DeLaet's Landing. Copies of the FGEIS are available from the City of Rensselaer Planning office from the contact listed below and on the website: http://groups.google.com/group/renriver. The action involves a site of approximately 27 acres where the sponsor, Marx Properties, proposes construction of a mixed use waterfront district (shorelines to be reconfigured and engineered with public esplanade). The project will involve 515 residential units, 165,000 square feet of retail space, 250,000 square feet of office space, 1,830 parking spaces and 300 hotel rooms. The project is located at 575 Broadway in the City of Renssealer, New York. The project site is the grounds of the former Rensselaer High School, on the east shore of the Hudson River opposite the Albany riverfront amphitheater.
