Negative Declaration

Putnam County - The Patterson Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Local Law #6 of 2009 entitled Signs will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves an amendment to Chapter 154, Zoning to review the sign requirements. The Local Law will address standards for retail signs, real estate signs and contractor signs. The project is located throughout the Town of Patterson, New York.

The action involves an amendment to Chapter 154, Zoning to add Libraries as a permitted principal use within the GB Zoning District. The project is located throughout the Town of Patterson, New York.

Putnam County - The Town of Putnam Valley Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Single-Family Residence for Jose Dominguez will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves an application for the construction of a single-family residence, driveway, sanitary sewage treatment system, and private water well on 26.2 ± acres of land in the Low-Density Residence (R-3) Zoning District. The project is located at the terminus of Butterfly Lane in the Town of Putnam Valley, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft Supplemental EIS and Public Hearing

Putnam County - The Town of Carmel Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Hillcrest Commons. A public hearing on the Draft SEIS will be held on August 26, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Carmel Town Hall, 60 McAlpin Avenue, Mahopac, New York. Written comments on the Draft SEIS will be accepted until September 25, 2009. The DSEIS will be available for public review at: the Town of Carmel Town Hall, 60 McAlpin Avenue, Mahopac, NY, the Town of Kent Town Hall, 770 Route 52, Kent, NY and will also be available at the Mahopac Public Library, the Reed Memorial Library, and the Kent Public Library. The document is also available on line at: www.timmillerassociates.com/publicreview.

The action involves Subdivision, Special Permit and Site Plan applications for 150 senior residential units on an approximately 80.85 acre property. All units will be attached 2 bedroom condominium units. The development will be served by a municipal sanitary disposal system and water supply system. The project is located on Route 52 in the Towns of Carmel and Kent, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Sullivan County - The Town of Thompson Planning Baord, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Rock Hill Town Center. A hard copy of the FEIS is available at the Town of Thompson Clerk's Office and the Town of Thompson Library and on the Town website at: www.townofthompson.com under "Public Documents". The action involves an as-of-right Residential Alternative development, which is a primarily residential subdivision plan designed in accordance with existing zoning. The proposed project, which would be built in three phases, would result in the construction of a total of 1,613 residential units and approximately 60,000 square feet of commercial space. Slightly more than ten percent or 168 units of the total residential units proposed would be age restricted, allowing only adults 55 years of age and older to reside in these units. The residential development would consist of 217 single family dwellings, 1,012 townhome units, and 384 multifamily dwellings, totaling 1,613 dwelling units. The commercial portion of the proposed project would include the development of 60,000 square feet of neighborhood retail adjoining the Rock Hill hamlet at Exit 109 of NYS Route 17. The project is located at Rock Hill Drive and Glen Wild Road in the Town of Thompson, New York.
