Columbia County - The Town of Ghent, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of a New Town of Ghent Comprehensive Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the adoption of a new Comprehensive Plan which updates an older version of the municipality's Comprehensive Plan. The project is located throughout the Town of Ghent, New York.

Ostego County - The Town Board of the Town of Springfield, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of the Town of Springfield Comprehensive Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the adoption of the Town of Springfield Comprehensive Plan in accordance with Section 272-a of the Town law. The Plan includes statements of goals and objectives for the future growth of the Town. Included in the Plan are demographic statistics, analysis of land uses, public opinion information and recommendations for the Town to use and/or adopt in order to reach the aforementioned goals and objectives. The project is located throughout the Town of Springfield, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing
Albany County - The City of Albany Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Albany Medical Center Hospital - New Patient Wing Addition. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on August 13, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. at the City of Albany City Hall, 24 Eagle Street, Albany, NY. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until August 24, 2009. A hard copy of the DEIS is available at the City of Albany City Hall, 24 Eagle Street, Albany, NY. The DEIS is available on the City of Albany website at: www.albanyny.org.
The action involves the of demolition of 65,000 square feet of existing facilities and construction of a new six-floor Patient Wing addition (inclusive of basement and subbasement levels), an elevator tower, renovations to existing facilities, and associated site improvements. The New Patient Wing will consist of 325,000 square feet of new construction and 46,000 square feet of renovation. New construction will house the Entry Lobby and Atrium, Surgery Unit, Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds, adult medical surgical beds and neonatal beds. Renovations will include improvements to the existing Surgical Suite, surgical support spaces, and Pediatric beds. The project is located at 41/43New Scotland Avenue at the intersection of New Scotland Avenue and Myrtle Avenue in the City of Albany, New York.
