Project Description:
The applicant is proposing to treat the 35 acre central portion of Twin Island Lake, all of which is regulated as NYS Freshwater Wetland PP-5 (Class II), with Reward (active ingredient Diquat dibrommide) to control the growth of the invasive non-native plant Eurasian watermilfoil (Myriophyllum spicatum).

Project Description:
The applicant proposes to treat Chodikee Lake, NYS Waters Index # H-128-P 437, with copper sulfate to control algae blooms. Chodikee Lake is the sole water supply for this facility. Three treatments of approximately 0.87 pounds per acre foot are proposed. The lake is bordered by NYS Freshwater Wetland H-5 (Class 2); no direct treatment of the wetland is proposed.

Applicant is proposing to replace a poorly functioning seepage pit associated with a single family residence with a new subsurface sanitary treatment system (SSTS) located partially within the 100 foot adjacent area of State regulated freshwater wetland D-11 (Class 1). No direct disturbance to the wetland is proposed and DEC staff has determined that proposed SSTS will be a net benefit to the wetland.
