Project Title: Town of Lake George

Project Description: The project is the removal of up to 1000 ± cubic yards of silt and organic material from Orcut Bay on Lake George. The area to be dredged is 26,960 ± square feet in size. Approximately 8-12 inches of material will be removed by hydraulic dredging equipment. The spoils will be pumped to an area on the project site into a Geo Tube for dewatering. The spoils will be taken off site and disposed of in an approved waste disposal area. A vegetative buffer 12 to 20 feet in width is proposed to be planted along the shoreline of the project site to assist in the removal of future sediment, debris and pollutants. Future use of fertilizers will be closely monitored to protect water quality. An independent environmental monitor is proposed to be hired, to ensure all permit requirements are adhered to.

Negative Declaration
Franklin County - The Village of Chateaugay, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Foundry Street Sewer Pump Station, Force-main and Sewer Main Replacements will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the reconstruction of Foundry Street sewer pump station and replacement of 1,250 ± feet of sewer force main from the pump station to the discharge manhole on East Main Street. The replaced sewer force main will be in a slightly different location than the currently existing sewer main across private property. The project also involves the replacement of 680 feet ± of collection main and sewer laterals along NYS Route 11 (main will be realigned slightly to avoid archeologically sensitive areas). The project is located on Foundry Street, LaCount Street and East Main Street in the Village of Chateaugay, New York.
