The project will involve the installation of approximately 140 feet of piping, valves and other appurtenances. The project will also involve the installation of two permanent gravel pads to allow for any future maintenance activities. The project will involve the temporary disturbance of the approximately 24,000 sq. ft. of wetland and the permanent disturbance of 400 sq. ft. The project is located adjacent to SR 9J, where the Tennessee Gas Pipeline ROW crosses the highway.

The docking facility is located just east of the Freeman's Bridge crossing over the river, at the Waters Edge Light House Restaurant along the northern bank of the river.

The applicant proposes to stabilize an eroded portion of the Mohawk River bank, located along the northern shoreline, starting at the Western Gateway Bridge abutment adjacent to Jumpin Jacks Restaurant and continuing east along the shoreline for approximately 2,000 linear feet. Stabilization measures include grading of the bank to facilitate placement of heavy stone rip-rap and installation of articulating concrete block revetment systems which allow vegetation to grow between the void in the block.
