Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Suffolk County - The Village of Sag Harbor Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed East End Ventures, LLC , 1, 3 and 5 Ferry Road. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on August 10, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Village Hall, 55 Main Street, Sag Harbor, New York. Copies of the DEIS are available from the contact person listed below. The action involves the demolition of the existing structures on the site and issuance of a Special Exception Application to allow development of 1.406 ± acres. The site will be developed with a three story, 18 unit residential apartment building, swimming pool, accessory docking facility, walkways, parking and access drive. The project is located at 1, 3 and 5 Ferry Road in the Village of Sag Harbor, Town of Southampton, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Suffolk County - The Town of Huntington Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Canon Americas Headquarters (Site Plan). The action involves the construction in two (2) phases on a 52.17 acre (2,272,525 square foot) parcel located within an I-1 Light Industrial Zoning District and R-40 Residential Zoning District. Phase I will include construction of an approximate 696,000 gross square foot, five and partial six-story office building and two (2) parking garages. Phase II will involve construction of a five and partial six story approximately 204,000 square foot office building and three story parking garage addition. Since the site plan for the Phase I portion of the property is still in the process of being reviewed, minor alterations / deviations to the building area and parking design may result as a consequence of compliance with specific Town Code regulations.

The applicant is requesting connection to Suffolk County Sewer District No. 3 - Southwest to allow all wastewater generated by the project to be discharged to the Bergen Point Sewage Treatment Plant. Public water is to be provided by the South Huntington Water District. The project is located on the southwest corner of the Long Island Expressway South Service Road (NYS Route 495) and Walt Whitman Road in Melville in the Town of Huntington, New York.
