Monroe County - The City of Rochester, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Water Supply Conduit Modernization Conduits 2 and 3, South Clinton Ave: I-590 to Pinnacle Tee will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the replacement of the City of Rochester's existing buried large diameter water transmission pipelines (Conduits 2 and 3) between I-590 and the Pinnacle Tee. These conduits convey water to City customers, as well as many Monroe County Water Authority customers in Brighton and surrounding towns. The existing two conduit system will be replaced with a single 42 inch diameter water main along the existing Conduit 2 alignment. Conduit 3, along with sections of Conduit 2 that are not being excavated, will be filled with flowable fill. This work is being undertaken in order to maintain the reliability of the City's water supply system. The project is located on South Clinton Avenue form I-590 to Suburban Court in Brighton, New York.
