Project Description:
The applicant proposes the reconstruction of portions of Baisley Pond Park. Proposed work within NYSDEC jurisdiction includes removal of abandon pathways and light poles and reconstruction of existing facilities. Portions of the proposed park reconstruction are located within the wetland and wetland adjacent area of NYSDEC regulated Class I Freshwater Wetland JA-3 (Baisley Pond).

A Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form has been completed. The proposed activity will not impact on registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.

This project is located in a Coastal Management area and is subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes restoration of the West Branch of New Creek between Slater and Graham Boulevards. The work includes removal of sediments that have accumulated in the channel. 750 feet of channel will be restored by removing as much as two feet of sediment in some locations. The volume of material to be removed is between 2,800 and 3,100 cubic yards. Equipment will access the channel using mats. Project site is located within NYSDEC Class I Freshwater Wetland NA-9 (Dongan Hills).
