Positive Declaration and Public Scoping

Suffolk County - The Town of Southampton Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed The Ponds at Southampton Village may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. Written comments on the draft scope will be accepted until July 6, 2009. A public scoping session will be held on June 25, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Southampton Town Hall. Copies of the Draft Scope are available at the Southampton Town Hall. The action involves an application for the conversion of a pre-existing industrial property to a 78 condominium complex on two parcels totaling 13.01 acres in the LI-40 Light Industrial Zoning District and the R-20 Zoning District. The project is located at 229 Bishop's Lane partially located in the Village of Southampton and partially located in the Town of Southampton, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Nassau County - The City of Glen Cove Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed RXR Glen Isle Mixed-Use Waterfront Development Project. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on June 25, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. at the City Hall Council Chambers, 9 Glenn Street, Glen Cove, NY 11542. A hard copy of the DEIS is available at the Office of the Planning Board, City Hall, 9 Glen Street, Glen Cove, NY 11542. The online version of the DEIS is available at the following publically accessible web site: http://www.glencove-li.com. The action involves a proposal by RXR Glen Isle Partners, LLC, pursuant to a Land Disposition Agreement with the City of Glen Cove Industrial Development Agency and Community Development Agency, to construct a mixed-use waterfront development encompassing 56 acres on the north side of Glen Cove Creek. The proposed action would encompass 860 dwellings in a variety of mid-rise condominium, rental and townhouse buildings, including 86 workforce housing units, a 250 suite luxury hotel and associated spa/conference center, a 50,000 square foot office building, and 25,000 square feet of space for retail, cultural and restaurant uses. The project is proposed to be constructed in various phases.

A new open space network is also proposed, which would provide for a continuous esplanade and open space ribbon along the entire length of the north side of Glen Cove Creek. The open space network would connect the project site to Glen Cove's downtown. It would also expand the City's greenway, which includes Garvies Point Preserve and Morgan Park. The project also proposes the creation of 85 boat slips spilt between three marina areas, and the creation of a turning basin at the east end of the Creek. The turning basin would be suitable for hand-launch craft (e.g. kayaks and canoes). The project is located on the north side of Glen Cove Creek in the City of Glen Cove, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Nassau County - The Planning Board for the Incorporated Village of Sands Point, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Application for Subdivision Approval - "Land's End Subdivision" - 4B's Realty Land's End, LLC and 4B's Realty Seacoast Lane, LLC. Written comments on the FEIS will be accepted by the contact person listed above until June 19, 2009. The FEIS is available for public review at the office of the contact person. In addition, a copy of the FEIS has been provided for public review at the Port Washington Public Library and is also posted at: www.sandspoint.org. The action involves a proposed subdivision of an approximately 15.54 acre property into six residential lots. Access to the subdivision is proposed from Cedar Knoll Drive (Hoffstots Lane). The subdivision is proposed to be served by on-site sanitary systems and public water. The project is located on the eastern terminus of Prospect Road (Seacoast Lane) in the Incorporated Village of Sands Point, New York.

Suffolk County - The Board of Trustees - Village of Sag Harbor, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Adoption of Commercial District Comprehensive Plan; Enactment of Chapter 55, Zoning; and Enactment of Revised Zoning Map. Copies of the FEIS are available in the Sag Harbor Clerk's Office, 55 Main Street, Sag Harbor, NY 11963. The action involves the adoption of a comprehensive plan titled Planning Strategies of the Incorporated Village of Sag Harbor, enactment of a new zoning map and enactment of a revised zoning map. The project is located throughout the Village of Sag Harbor, New York.
