Applicant is proposing to reconstruct/renovate an existing pool/guest house located in the 100 foot adjacent area (AA) of State regulated Freshwater Wetland MB-25 (Class 2). In additon, the existing subsurface sanitary treatment system (SSTS) located in the AA will be abandoned and a new SSTS constructed outside of the regulated area. All work is limited to previosly disturbed areas and lawn. No work within the wetland is proposed.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to reconstruct an existing, failed bridge (Bridge 2), substantially modify an existing bridge (Bridge 3), construct a new bridge (Bridge 1) on existing abutments over the Mahwah River, NYS Waters Index # NJ-11, Class A(t), and place a new water line, for fire suppression, within the bed of the river. The three bridges require disturbance to the NYS Freshwater Wetland TH-14 and its 100-foot Adjacent Area (AA), and disturbances to the AA are proposed associated with riding path improvements and expansion of the existing riding rink. The application also proposes replacement of an existing bridge on an unnamed tributary of the Mahwah River, NYS Waters Index # NJ-11-11, Class B. Approximately 0.84 acre of new wetland will be created as mitigation. These activities are proposed to expand and maintain this existing horseback riding and boarding facility.

Project Description:

Applicant (Town of Denning) is proposing stream bank modification activities along the eastern edge of the Rondout Creek (NYS Water Index # H-139-14 Class Cts) in an attempt to prevent flooding of Peekamosse Road. Stream bank modifications consist of a 500 foot earthen berm, 375 feet of rip rap to be constructed in front of the earthen berm, four rock cross vanes to divert flow away from eastern bank and a 500 foot earthen overflow water course to divert potential high flows from flood prone area. All work is proposed to be conducted during low flows and utilizing appropriate water diversion methods and erosion and sediment controls.

Project Description:

Applicant is proposing to conduct shoreline cleanup activities and bank stabilization at the existing Domino Sugar facility adjacent to the Hudson River, a State navigable water. The proposed project involves the removal of dock remnant and piles from below the mean low water (MLW) mark and the removal of concrete rubble/debris from above the MLW. Upon completion of debris removal, rip rap is proposed to the MLW mark and will be keyed into the sediment base. Concrete rubble will be processed and reused behind the rip rap.
