Project Title: Completion of Piseco Lake Campgrounds UMP/EIS Objective G
Location: Little Sand Point Campground, County Route 24 in the Town of Arietta, New York.
Project Description: The purpose of this notice is to update the tree cutting list for the Little Sand Point Shower Building which is Objective G in the Approved UMP/EIS for the Piseco Lake Campgrounds. The total noticed in the ENB in 2006 when the project was originally scheduled was 126. The new total is now 468 most of which are 5 inches and smaller. The higher count is due to delays in the start of this project.

Project Description: The action involves after-the-fact application for a permit to use the 3.3 acre parcel with 153 feet of shoreline on Chateaugay Lake for summer group camp uses including: boating, picnicking, swimming, and storage of equipment. Up to 40 persons on-site from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Predominate activities occur off-shore. Occasional overnight tent camping. Porta-potty on-site for sanitary use; no water supply or wastewater disposal on site. Small storage shed and boat rack at shoreline; off-shore dock and moorings for small non-motorized craft. Continued use of a 3 foot by 240 foot wooden boardwalk through the wetland is proposed to provide access between the upland lawn area and shoreline.

Project Description: The action involves subdivision of 80.28 acres into seven lots and the construction of a single family dwelling on lots 2 through 7. Lot 1 is developed by a pre-existing single family dwelling which is accessed by a private driveway. Lots 2 through 7 will be accessed from South Trout Lake Road by a shared 1,300 ± foot private road with a cul-de-sac. Lots 1 and 3 contain wetlands. A total of 130 square feet of wetland will be filled at the location of the road crossing which has been reduced to one-lane to minimize wetlands impacts. There is no non-wetland alternative to access the vast majority of the project site. Each dwelling will be served by an individual on-site well water supply and wastewater treatment system.
Negative Declaration
Saratoga County - The Village of Stillwater, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Water System Connection to the Saratoga County Water System will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of an approximate 8.8 mile water main to connect the Village's water system to the Saratoga County Water Authority water system. The water main route will generally follow existing roadways and will generally be installed within the limits of existing right-of-ways. Appropriate measures will be utilized during construction to minimize impacts to wetlands, water bodies and sensitive landscapes. The project will conform to all local and state regulatory requirements. The project is located on County Route 76, Cold Spring Road, Dunn Road and Dick Lynch Road in the Village of Stillwater, New York.
