ENB - Region 6 Notices 4/29/2009

Public Notice:

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has determined that the Registry of Inactive Hazardous Waste Disposal Sites in New York State needs to be amended to delete site number 633033, known as Bonide Chemical Corporation. This site is in the Village of Yorkville, Town of Whitestown in the County of Oneida and is located at 2 Wurz Drive. The reason for deletion is:

- Excavation and off-site disposal of contaminated soil and the recovery and treatment of groundwater have removed source contamination and have restored groundwater such that groundwater quality standards have been achieved. The site has been successfully remediated and no further action is required.

Written comments on this proposed deletion are welcome, and should be sent to the Project Manager:

Peter Ouderkirk
NYS DEC - Region 6 Headquarters
317 Washington Street
Watertown, NY 13601

All written comments must be received by May 29, 2009. A summary of all written comments will be assembled and made available for viewing at the project manager's address listed above.
