Washington County - The Town of Kingsbury Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Eastside Used Auto Parts will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a large scale metal and automotive recycling facility in the Town. The project entails developing 35 acres of a 40 acre site to locate this facility. The proposed use of the site is to process and crush junk, scrap metal and junk automobiles on site. The proposal is in compliance with the Zoning Ordinance and has been developed to mitigate potential environmental impacts. The project is located at 2323 State Route 149 in the Town of Kingsbury, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Supplemental Draft EIS and Public Hearing
Essex County - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA), as lead agency, has accepted a Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Map Amendment 2006-02 (Town of Minerva). A public hearing on the Supplemental Draft EIS will be held on May 4, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Minerva Central School Gymnasium, Minerva, New York. The SDEIS is available for public review at the Adirondack Park Agency Headquarters, 1133 NYS Route 86, Ray Brook, NY. The SDEIS is also posted on the Adirondack Park Agency website: www.apa.state.ny.us. The action involves a proposed map amendment which was requested by the Town of Minerva and involves fifteen areas throughout the town, totaling 4,591 ± acres. The project is located in the Town of Minerva, New York.
