Project Description:

The applicant is requesting permission to treat Copake Lake during the 2009 season by applying Aquathol K and Renovate 3 on up to 55 acres of the lake to treat Curlyleaf Pondweed and Eurasian Watermilfoil and Copper Sulfate fine crystals to control microscopic algae. Application of Aquathol K is planned to occur in June and August of 2009. The application of copper sulfate is planned for the period of May 1 through May 15, 2009 with additional treatment, if necessary, in June and August of 2009.

The applicant proposes to create a 6-acre pond with 9.5 acres of total disturbance within a 15.7 acre Life of Mine area. Mining will occur in four (4) distinct phases.
