Project Description: Replacement of an existing box culvert on NYS Route 8 and filling of a nearby depression in the road profile to improve the vertical alignment and eliminate flooding of the roadway. There will be 0.07 ± acre of permanent impacts to wetlands and 0.01 ± acres of temporary impacts to wetlands. NYS DOT previously constructed a wetland complex adjacent to the NYS Route 8 Flansburg Bridge over West Canada Creek. A portion of the previously constructed wetland, approximately 0.108 acres, will be considered as mitigation for the permanent wetland impacts associated with this project. Temporary wetland impacts will be mitigated by successful restoration of the impacted wetland.
Negative Declaration
Jefferson County - The Town of Cape Vincent, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Cape Vincent Water District No. 6 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the formation of a water district and the construction of a water distribution system. The project includes approximately 15,000 lineal feet of ductile iron pipe water main and 10,000 lineal feet of water service laterals. The project is located at County Route 6 and Tibbett's Point Road in the Town of Cape Vincent, New York.

Jefferson County - The Town of Henderson, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Henderson Wastewater Collection and Treatment Facilities will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The proposed project is the establishment of a public sewer system for the Hamlets of Henderson and Henderson Harbor. This would involve the creation of a sewer district and the construction of a wastewater treatment facility and a collection facilty. The project is located town wide in the Town of Henderson, New York.
