Cayuga County - The Town of Sterling Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed New Horizons Marina may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the redevelopment of an existing marina to provide RV/trailer sites, tent camping, rental cabins and marina recreation facilities. The project is located on King Street in the Town of Sterling, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing
Madison County - The Town of Cazenovia Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Application (Treatment) of the Herbicide Renovate OTF to portions of Cazenovia Lake for Control of the Invasive Aquatic Plant Eurasian Watermilfoil. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on April 7, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cazenovia Public Library, 100 Albany Street, Cazenovia, NY 13035. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until April 17, 2009. A hard copy of the DEIS is available at the following locations: Town of Cazenovia Town Hall, 7 Albany Street, Cazenovia, NY 13035. The online version of the DEIS is available at the following publically accessible web site: www.townofcazenovia.org. The action involves the treatment of major portions of Cazenovia Lake through the application of the herbicide "Renovate". The treatment is designed to address the continued presence of the invasive aquatic plant species Eurasian Watermilfoil (Myriophyllum spicatum) which has dominated the Lake surface area in recent years. There will be multiple areas proposed for the initial application. The project is located in Cazenovia Lake in the Town of Cazenovia, New York.
