Project Description:

The applicant proposes to replace the US Route 20 Bridge over Bell Creek (Class/Standard C), with a new precast concrete three-sided bridge, cast-in-place wingwalls, and supported by a concrete slab. In order to improve aquatic organisms passage through the culvert, the stream channel will be regraded to remove the existing 6 foot drop-off, and a heavy stone rock riffle will be constructed from approx. 45-feet downstream, through the culvert, and 110-feet upstream to connect the upstream and downstream portions of stream bed.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes construction of a 10,600 square foot office building and 37 parking spaces on a 1.15 acre site. The project will impact no more than .27 acre of the the regulated 100 foot wide adjacent area of State Freshwater Wetland LA-18. Stormwater runoff will be directed to the Transit Road drainage system, away from the wetland. Mitigation measures include improvements to the buffer zone between the project site and the wetland by revegetation with meadow grasses, native trees and shrubs and removal of an existing pile of construction debris. The site is located on the east side of Transit Road, approximately 150 feet south of the Strasmer Road intersection.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to mine sand and gravel and material processing with a portable dry-screen and crusher, with a capacity of less than 300 tons per hour, on 11.8 acres of land out of 56.3 acres owned by Kevin Vickers at this location. The mine site is located approximately 1100 feet east of State Route 98, between the intersections with Wethersfield Road (south) and Almeter Road (north). There will be no excavation into the water table, and no water supply wells, wash ponds or wet processing are proposed. The haul road from the mine site is to State Route 98. The site will be reclaimed for agricultural uses such as grazing, growing of crops and open meadows.
