Orange County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Javelin Mine will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the new application for new 59.0 acre sand, gravel, and consolidated rock mine. The project is located on Hoops Road in the hamlet of Slate Hill, Town of Wawayanda, New York.

Westchester County - The County of Westchester, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Quarry Heights Sanitary Sewers will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of sewer lines to serve approximately 58 residential properties in the Quarry Heights section of the Town of North Castle. Under the proposed project, the County will install approximately 5,000 linear feet of low pressure force mains and approximately 49 valve boxes. The Town of North Castle will construct the service connections from the new or existing valve boxes to grinder pumps that the affected homeowners will be required to install. The new sewers will connect to existing local sewers owned by the Town of Harrison, which ultimately lead to the County-owned Mamaroneck Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project is located on the south end of Town of New Castle in the vicinity of Old Orchard Street, including Starkey Road, James Street, William Street, McClure Street, Memorial Lane and Johnson Place; the Town of Harrison, north of Stonewall Circle in the Towns of New Castle and Harrison, New York.

Orange County - The Crawford Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Commerce Park at Crawford may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves an 11 lot subdivision to accommodate a mixed use commercial project on 136 acres. The project is located off of Stone School House Road in the Town of Crawford, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS
Orange County - The Village of Kiryas Joel Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the Proposed Connection to the New York City Catskill Aqueduct. The action involves the construction of facilities to draw water from the Catskill Aqueduct and convey water to within the municipal boundaries of the Village. The project will extend from the Catskill Aqueduct in New Windsor along one of two alternative routes to its termination at a treatment plant in the Village of Kiryas Joel. The project is located from New Windsor to Kiryas Joel, New York.
