Project Description:
The applicant proposes to increase the design capacity at an existing facility which processes non-petroleum oils, fats and grease from food processing industries and restaurants for recycling. The facility collects these waste materials and separates the recoverable grease and oils from the water they contain. The recovered grease and oil is sold to a rendering plant and the wastewater is discharged to the municipal sewer system. The existing storage and processing tanks will be replaced to increase the facility capacity from 7,500 gallons per day to 24,000 gallons per day. The site is located at 100 Voice Rd. in Carle Place.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
