Project Description: Removal of 114 trees in order to place bio-engineered shoreline erosion controls. Tops and stems will be chipped and dispersed on site.
Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing
Washington County - The Town of Fort Edward Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Killian's View Residential Subdivision. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on April 8, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at the Fort Edward Fire Department, Fort Edward, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until April 20, 2009. A hard copy of the DEIS is available at the Fort Edward Town Clerk's Office, Fort Edward Free Library, Post Office and Washington County Clerk's Office. The DEIS is available for review on the following website: www.fortedwardnewyork.net.
The action involves the 327 lot residential subdivision on approximately 239 acres. The Developer of the project will extend municipal waster and sewer to serve the proposed subdivision. The project is located at 67 Killian Lane in Fort Edward, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS
Saratoga County - The Town of Stillwater Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Stillwater Cummulative Impacts of Growth. A copy of the FEIS maybe obtained from the contact person listed below and in Adobe Reader format for downloading or viewing at: http://www.stillwaterny.org.
The action involves the estimated construction of a total of 4,071 homes, up to 1.2 million square feet of commercial/retail space and 2.6 million square feet of industrial space in the Town. The Town projects that at least 600 new homes and 150,000 square feet of non residential development will be constructed over a ten year period (2007-2017) and that this growth may have the potential to adversely impact the Town's infrastructure, recreational facilities, community character, farmland and open space resources. The project is located throughout the Town of Stillwater, New York.
