Negative Declaration

Jefferson County - The Town of Hounsfield, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Hounsfield Water District No. 5 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of approximately 32,160 lineal feet of water mains, 15,543 lineal feet of water service laterals and fittings, 1,600 feet of utility drain pipe replacement, 400 lineal feet of drainage piping, pump station, gate valves, valve boxes, curb stop assemblies, corporation stop assemblies, water meters and meter setting pit, master meter vault, fire hydrant assemblies and acquisition of and upgrades to existing well field located at Dexter Estates to provide the Town of Hounsfield Water District No. 5 with a potable water supply. The project is located along NYS Route 180 and 12F, Foster Park Road, Lee Road and Lodi Road and at the Watertown International Airport, all within the Town of Hounsfield, New York.

Jefferson County - The Village of Sackets Harbor, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Water System Improvement Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the reconstruction and improvements to the existing water treatment plant with the addition of a 40 foot x 60 foot (3,660 square foot) process building for additional filtration for the existing plant. Additionally, the project includes the replacement of the water storage tank at the existing water treatment plant and replacement of water mains along Monroe Street, Washington Street, North Broad Street and South Broad Street. The project is located at the Madison Barracks and along Ambrose Street, Washington Street, Monroe Street, North Broad Street, South Broad Street and Military Road within the Village of Sackets Harbor, New York.

Jefferson County - The Village of Sackets Harbor as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Wastewater Collection and Treatment Facilities Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the funding, construction and operation of a new sanitary sewer treatment plant with a 700,000 gallon per day inflow of typical municipal sewerage, to be located on lands substantially adjacent to the existing wastewater treatment plant owned by either the Village or the Sackets Harbor Local Development Corporation (SHLDC) or on lands of the SHLDC located on Ambrose Street Also included will be an auto-start sewer lift station and pumps, new and reconstructed gravity sewer main and force mains on Monroe Street, North Broad Street, South Broad Street and Washington Street and the reconstruction and replacement of water mains in said streets where there currently is co-occupation of existing water and sanitary sewer mains. The project is located on Hill Street, Ambrose Street, Monroe Street, North Broad Street, South Broad Street and Washington Street in the Village of Sackets Harbor, New York.
