Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The Town of Huntington Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Resolution 2008-711, Amendment to Chapter 78 (Animals), Article III (Birds), §78-18 (Keeping of Pigeons) and Resolution 2008-714, Amendment to Chapter 198 (Zoning), Article III (Residence Districts), §198-13 (R-80 Residence District) will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves an amendment to the Code of the Town of Huntington, Chapter 78 (Animals), Article III (Birds), §78-18 (Keeping of Pigeons) and Chapter 198 (Zoning), Article III (Residence Districts), §198-13 (R-80 Residence District) to allow a limited number of chickens to be raised on residential property. The project is located in all of District # 0400 of the Suffolk County Tax Map in the Town of Huntington, New York.

Suffolk County - The Town of Southampton, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Sandy Hollow Cove Residential Planned Development District will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the following:

1. Adoption of legislation creating a Residential Planned Development District (RPDD).
2. Amendment to Town Zoning Map to rezone 2.613 acres from R-80 to RPDD.
3. Future approval of a site plan for 16 unit, owner occupied, workforce housing multifamily development.

The project is located at 161 Sandy Hollow Road in the Town of Southampton, New York.

Suffolk County - The Town of Southampton, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Subdivision Map of Dolores Berhalter - Planned Residential Development will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the nine (9) lot planned residential development realty subdivision of a 21.08 acre tract of land located in the CR-80 Zoning District (residential minimum 80,000 square foot lots) and in the Town's Agricultural Overlay District. The plan includes a new cul-de-sac street which will intersect the north side of Mecox Road. The plan also includes a 10.543 acre Agricultural Reserve that represents 50% of the site. This reserve is located adjacent to other reserves on abutting properties. The project is located at 996 Mecox Road (north side) in the Hamlet of Bridgehampton, Town of Southhampton, New York.

Positive Declaration

Suffolk County - The Town of East Hampton Zoning Board of Appeals, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Kim & Charczuk Rock revetment may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the construction of approximately 262 linear feet of rock revetment on two adjoining parcels of land containing beaches and tidal wetlands. The project is located at 221 and 223 Ferard Drive in the Town of East Hampton, New York.

The Draft Scoping Document and files for this project (application, maps, plans, etc.) may be reviewed weekdays between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Zoning Board of Appeals Office, 300 Pantigo Place, Suite 105, East Hampton, New York. All written comments should be sent to: Zoning Board of Appeals, 300 Pantigo Place, Suite 105, East Hampton, New York 11937. All comments must be received by March 19, 2009. The Zoning Board of Appeals must issue its final scoping document by March 30, 2009.
