Shandaken Tunnel Outlet SPDES Permit General Meeting - February 24, 2009
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP) hereby gives notice that a meeting will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at the Catskill Mountain Foundation, Route 23A, Hunter NY.
The meeting is being held in accordance with State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Discharge Permit No. NY 026 8151, for the Shandaken Tunnel Outlet. NYC DEP will discuss the progress of several projects in the Catskill watershed region. Public input is welcome.
The meeting is open to the public.

Montgomery County - The City of Amsterdam City Council, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Water Filtration Plant Improvements will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves new treatment plant equipment to be located in an existing building at the raw water source in Glen Wild, new filtration and water treatment equipment to be housed in a proposed addition attached to the existing filter plant, and replace the existing backwash tank with a new tank located on the filter plant site. The project is located in the City of Amsterdam, New York.

Rensselaer County - The Town of Schodack Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Water Transmission Main - Contract No. 3C will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of approximately 7,100 square feet of 16 inch water main, hydrants, valves and appurtenances to connect the Town's well field with its existing water transmission system within an existing water district. Approximately 50% of the water main route is within an inactive gravel mine; another 25% traverses meadow/brushland and woodland; and paved road, roadside turf, and pasture comprise the remainder. The project is located along a 7,100 foot corridor just east of Interstate Route 90 where it intersects US Route 9 and 2 in the Town of Schodack, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Supplemental Draft EIS
Rensselaer County - The Town of Grafton Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed The Lake at Sylvan Way. Written comments on the Supplemental Draft EIS will be accepted until February 27, 2009. A hard copy of the SDEIS is available at the Town of Grafton Town Hall and is also available on the town website at: www.graftonny.org/planboard.htm. The action involves the subdivision of a 141 acre tract of land acquired in January 2008 into 22 residential lots. This notice applies to both a Supplemental DEIS dated January 9, 2009 and to a Second Supplemental DEIS dated January 23, 2009 which were deemed complete and accepted by the Town of Grafton Planning Board at a Planning Board meeting on January 26, 2009. The project is located on South Long Pond Road in the Town of Grafton, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Amended Supplemental Final EIS
Albany County - The City of Albany Common Council, as lead agency, has accepted an Amended Supplemental Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Rezoning of 124-128R Washington Avenue Extension (Residence Inn Hotel). The Supplemental Draft EIS, Supplemental Final EIS, and Amended Supplemental Final EIS are posted on the City of Albany website: www.albanyny.gov. The action involves the rezoning of a site from R-1B (Single-Family Medium-Density Residential) to C-2 (Highway Commercial) to permit the construction and operation of a 124 room hotel, accessory parking and associated improvements. The project is located at 124-128R Washington Avenue Extension in the City of Albany, New York.
