Project Description:

The applicant proposes to compost 12 dry tons/year of sewage sludge from the Village of Greene Sewage Treatment Plant by window method with leaves and wood chips within the existing enclosed drying beds located at the Greene STP on Water Street in Greene, NY. The finished compost will be used on Village owned lands or as a soil supplement for landscaping. The compost operation was previously permitted, but the permit expired and was not timely renewed.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The permit type is exempt or the activity is being reviewed in accordance with federal historic preservation regulations.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to remove existing fixed wood docks and wood piles at two locations within the existing marina and replace them with floating docks and galvanized steel piles. There will be a net gain of 9 slips (total of 96 slips); with a total surface area of docking facility perimeter to be 230,000 square feet. Also, an existing boat launch dock will be replaced and a new underground electrical connection will be made. No dredging of the marina is proposed; minor excavation will occur to construct concrete abutments of anchoring gangways to the shore. Location: Onondaga Lake Park Marina, 6851 Onondaga Lake Trail, Liverpool, NY.
