Ulster County - The City of Kingston Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Kingston Hospital Emergency Room /Entry Lobby Expansion will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of 10,500 square foot addition, reconfiguration of parking facilities, improved lighting and landscaping features. The project is located at 396 Broadway in the City of Kingston, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS
Westchester County - The Town of Somers Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Somers Realty Planned Hamlet - Application for Master Plan Approval. The action involves the approval of a conceptual master plan for the development of an approximately 80 acre vacant parcel of land that makes up the Planned Hamlet "PH" District in Baldwin Place. The site contains approximately 9.7 acres of wetlands and 9.85 acres of slopes of 15% and greater. The conceptual master plan for the site involves the proposed development of approximately 152 residential dwelling units (140 base density units, 14 of which will be designated as "affordable" housing units, and an additional 12 density incentive units); an 80,000 square foot assisted living facility; 40,000 square feet of professional office space; 20,000 square feet of medical office space; a 4,000 square feet clubhouse; 30,000 square feet of retail/restaurant space; and 50 units of senior affordable housing in a self-contained building. Vehicular access to the site is proposed from a driveway on the southerly side of U.S. Route 6 as well as from a connection to the existing westerly driveway serving the Somers Commons Shopping Center. The new development is proposed to be serviced by public water and public sewer utilities. In addition to other agency approvals, the proposed development will also require Town of Somers approval of one or more applications for site plan approval, wetlands permit approval, steep slope permit approval and tree removal permit approval, none of which has been submitted at the present time. The project is located on the southerly side of U.S. Route 6 between the Somers Commons Shopping Center on the east and Mahopac Avenue on the west in the Town of Somers, New York.
