Notice of Proposed Rulemaking
Pursuant to Environmental Conservation Law Sections 1-0101(3)(b), 1-0101(3)(d), 3-0301(1)(b), 3-0301(1)(d), 3-0301(2)(m), 9-0105(1), 9-0105(3) and 9-1303 the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) hereby gives notice of the following:
Addition of a new section 192.5 to title 6 NYCRR, Firewood Restrictions to Protect Forests from Invasive Species.
Purpose: To protect New York State's forests from invasive insects and diseases carried on firewood and introduced into non-infested forests and urban communities.

Notice of Availability
The U.S. Fleet Forces has announced the availability of the Atlantic Fleet Active Sonar Training (AFAST) Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) / Overseas EIS (OEIS). The AFAST FEIS / OEIS is available on the project website: http://afasteis.gcsaic.com.

Public Notice of Environmental Board Meeting
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) hereby gives notice that a meeting of the Environmental Board will be held at 2:00 p.m., January 6, 2009, in Room 129 at the Department's main offices at 625 Broadway, Albany, New York.
The Board will consider the following rulemaking actions of the Department of Environmental Conservation:
• Part 200, General Provisions,
• Part 201, Permits and Registrations, and
• Part 231, New Source Review for New and Modified Facilities
This meeting is open to the public.
