Negative Declaration

Cayuga County - The New York State Energy Research and Development Corporation (NYSERDA), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Installation of a 10 kW Wind Turbine and 140 foot Guyed Lattice Tower at the James Property will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the installation of a 10 kW wind turbine atop a 140 foot guyed tower at the James property. NYSERDA is an involved agency with respect to this installation because it will be providing a financial incentive to the land owner under the New York State Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) program, which NYSERDA administers. The project is located at 4272 Lamphier in Locke, New York.

Tioga County - The Village of Nichols Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Kirby Parkland Alienation will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the need to alienate 0.7 acres of parkland in Kirby Park in order to have the community water provider, United Water Owego/Nichols, install a water supply well. They will substitute this land with 1.16 acres of open space land adjacent to the south side of the park boundary. The project is located at the Kirby Park on East River Road in the Village of Nichols, New York.
