County of Suffolk - The County of Suffolk has requested a change to the New York State Wild, Scenic and Recreational Rivers System (WSRR) designation of the County Center at Riverhead municipal complex, which is located in the Peconic River Scenic and Recreational River corridor.

A hearing to receive unsworn comments will commence at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2009.


CMW Industries LLC. - has applied to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC or Department) for a permit to construct and operate a 15 ton per day (330 tons per month) regulated medical waste (RMW) transfer station with transfer between vehicles and up to 350 gallons per day of conditionally exempt hazardous waste for consolidation by long haul transport to permitted treatment and destruction facilities.

Pre-adjudicatory hearing issues conference will be held on January 27, 2009.


CWM Chemical Services, LLC - RESCHEDULED Legislative Public Statement Hearing - Applicant CWM Chemical Services, LLC (CWM) has applied for a modification of its existing Part 373 permit to allow the utilization of an alternative final cover design for the facility's existing 47 acre hazardous waste landfill known as Residuals Management Unit - One (RMU-1).

A legislative public hearing will be held on January 21, 2009.
