Project Description:

The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has received an application to renew State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) # NY 015 9140, for Wildwood Country Club in Monroe County. This is a pre-existing Private/Commercial/Institutional SPDES permit. DEC has made a tentative determination to renew this permit and set a standard five year term maintaining current effluent limitations and monitoring and reporting requirements. This permit involves the surface discharge of up to 5,000 gallons per day of treated sanitary waste into a tributary of Honeoye Creek, a class D water. Additional information including the current permit, renewal applications, and supporting documentation may be obtained from or inspected at the DEC central office in Albany. Substantive comments on the permit or requests for hearing or both must be submitted in writing to the contact person. DEC seeks comments on the proposed regulated activity prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.

This project includes the installation of 9140 lineal feet of 6" and 1600 lineal feet of 8" water main and appurtenances to serve 17 parcels. The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application, but is seeking public comments prior to making a final decision on permit issuance. A draft permit is available for review and comment at the regional NYSDEC office in Avon.

Project Description:

Applicant proposes to construct Whispering Woods, Phase II, a 195 lot residential community located south of NYS Route 104 and west of the hamlet of Williamson in the Town of Williamson. The project as proposed will involve the filling approximately 0.48 acres of Federal wetland. As compensation for the loss of this wetland a Federal wetland mitigation project is required buy the Buffalo District US Army Corps of Engineers. This project will create approximately 0.85 acres of wetland habitat within the on-site mitigation area. The project must also comply with the Departments Phase II Stormwater SPDES General Permit for Construction Activities.
